Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your (old) Adobe ID. This can often be resolved by completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to the Library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac). Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.Ī common incorrect message informs you that the ID is already in use on another computer and cannot be reused. I've tried installing newest version of ADE 4.5.2, de-authorizing and re-authorizing ADE, a registry fix to HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Adobe\Adept, but nothing works. (3) If there is anything in the following directores delete it: 'Annotations' 'Restore' including all subdirectories ' Thumbnails' (4) Now Open and re-add all files to the library and see if you can open them. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help, and indeed installation can even trigger this state. (1) Close My Digital Editions (2) Go the the 'My Documents', then 'My Digital Editions' directory. Then go back in and reqauthorize your computer. After launching ADE hit CONTROL+SHIFT+D and say yes to delete authoriztion. "Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state. THe eauthnotready can be fixed by deleting your authorization (yes you have one even though it doesnt show) and then reauthorizing. Good luck!!!! (copied from another thread): I had the exact same problem & this worked for me. Check your Internet connection and make sure that no program, such as antivirus software or a firewall, is blocking the connection.
